Great family resorts and villas
When you’re travelling with young kids, it’s always best to stay somewhere that will look after them, so that it’s a holiday for the whole family. We’ve compiled the below list of some key family resorts throughout the country.
Warwick Le Lagon
Just 10 minutes out of Port Vila, Warwick Le Lagon's setting on Erakor Lagoon allows visitors to kick back, relax, and unwind. It also means that parents and kids can make use of complimentary non-motorised watersports equipment (think canoes, kayaks etc) to go exploring.
The resort's pools have also recently been redone, meaning that Mum, Dad and the kids can all enjoy frolicking in the pools of various depths.
If you're wanting to leave the kids in the care of the friendly locals, the resort's Kids Club is incredibly popular and recently upgraded.
Learn MoreHoliday Inn Resort Vanuatu
Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu is not only family-friendly, it's kid-preferred.
With a range of pools for kids (we can assure you that these will keep them entertained for hours), Kids Club, nanny service, and kids' rooms (with bunk beds and doors that can only be opened from the parents' room), the resort is perfectly geared toward families with kids of all ages.
The resort's outlook on Erakor Lagoon, and no waves at the beach, mean that it's also a safe spot for kids to swim and paddle around.
Learn MoreIririki Island Resort & Spa
In the middle of Port Vila Harbour, the fun starts before you even get to Iririki, as you jump on a small boat for a quick, 2 minute ride across to the island.
Once on the island, families are warmly welcomed, with Kids Club activities and a range of dining options (including some that are adults only should parents wish to have some alone time).
The island's accommodation offerings also cater well to family groups, with island fares allowing smaller families, and the newer apartments (which have cracking views of the sunset) offering a range of options for all family sizes.
Learn MoreRamada Resort
One of the newer properties in Vanuatu, Ramada Resort Port Vila is nestled in the cliffs overlooking Erakor Lagoon.
The resort's sandy lagoon frontage plays host to a range of games that kids love (think land-based petanque, beach volleyball and water-based stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking).
There are also a range of activities every day that the team will invite resort guests to. If parents are looking to have some time to themselves, the kids club runs throughout the day.
Learn MoreNasama Resort
Set against Erakor Lagoon, just 15 minutes from Port Vila, Nasama Resort's apartments are perfect for families looking at having their journeys self-contained. The large apartments allow plenty of room for the kids to run around, and plenty of activities to keep them busy.
The resort's restaurant (Three Pigs) is also one of the newest kids on the culinary block, and has a range of items on the menu for big and little kids alike.
Learn MoreHoliday Homes
For larger family groups (or even multiple families), staying in a holiday home may be a more comfortable way to travel. In luxurious surrounds, holiday homes will allow you enough space to spread out and enjoy each other's company within the four walls of the property...before you go beyond and explore all that Vanuatu has to offer.
Vanuatu's becoming increasingly popular with multigenerational family holidays, and holiday homes, such as Villa 25 and Nakatumble, allow you to spread out across the property secluded from the outside world.
Learn MoreAquana Beach Resort
Surrounded by pristine reefs, lagoons and untouched islands, Aquana is well set-up for families, with babysitters, giant trampolines and extensive food options for even the fussiest of your children (all produced healthily, and using Vanuatu's organic produce).
Evening events, such as Tuesday's fire show, Thursday's trivia night, Friday's cultural warrior show and Sunday's live entertainment make it a popular staple for visiting families and locals alike.
